Restrained by a least-fit-retail space where huge columns stand in the way, the concept of this coffee shop is to reverse the thinking: turn it into a space of fragmented volumes so as to be freely circulated and explored.
Instead of placing the coffee machine at mall entry, a retired roaster takes the public focus, symbolising the brand’s growing history as well as the official show up to Shenzhen. Coffee bars are aligned in line between the two columns, sided by the inner kitchen with large windows. Eye contacts are activated through the kitchen window, facade glazing, and the long mirror placed above wall.
