Healthy Lifestyle, Pursuit for shopping experience, The shopping mall K11 tends to share very similar concepts with Seesaw, who’s known for sharing, making and tasting experience in handmade coffee.
Unlike what’s usually being done，we proposed a full open layout for this 200 m2 coffee shop, so that it becomes an Urban Plaza for people to rest, pass by, cut through, or stay for a drink. At the center of the Plaza, we introduced a serviced island comprised of a take-away long bar, a beverage and cleaning bar, and the coffee-making Lab with Espresso machine facing out to customers. All of the bars are free standing so that you can actually go around as the barista.
A variety of different coffee machines become the superstars here, complimented by the stainless steel finish bar top. The ice drip makers are integrated into part of wall for customized making and tasting. The three huge columns on site were deducted to the original square plan, so that the vertical facade could be reused as display racks, storage, or full height mirrors, and with the design of the soilless plants – Tillandsias, we have a mirrored space named “infinite forest”.
